3. Requirements

Hardware Requirement

DON'T INSTALL THE MOD LIST ON A HDD!!!

Installing the list on a HDD will cause you

  • Endless loading time
  • Textures not loaded properly
  • Save corruptions
  • Animations issues
  • Scripts not working as intended

  • Ultra Variant (Ultra LOD) (Ultra maxed out preset of the list - Grass in the distance and 3d lods)
  • GPU : RTX 3080 TI
  • VRAM : 12 Gb at 1440p (HIGHER GPU with MORE VRAM needed beyond 1440p - RTX 4090 recommended for native 4K)
  • RAM : 32 Gb
  • STORAGE (SSD Mandatory): 392 Gb

  • Ultra Variant (Performance LOD)(Ultra with less grass in the distance and 2d lods)
  • GPU : RTX 3080
  • VRAM : 10 Gb at 1440p (HIGHER GPU with MORE VRAM needed beyond 1440p)
  • RAM : 32 Gb
  • STORAGE (SSD Mandatory): 369 Gb

  • Ultra Variant (Ultra Performance LOD)(Ultra with no grass in the distance and 2d lods)

  • Redux Variant (Same as the Ultra gameplay wise but less heavy on vegetation and cities overhaul for better performance)

During the installation process, the installer will let you select the variants and installation options.

Nexus

Of course you will need a Nexus Mods account in order to download mods from Nexus using the installer.

Click here to create an account at nexusmods.com

When your account has been created, you will need an API key provided by Nexus mods.

To do that, go to your account icon (last icon on the right with your avatar picture) and click on Site preferences

Select API

Scroll down to the end (Personal API Key)

Click on the generate button

Copy the key on a text file and NEVER SHARE IT TO ANYONE ELSE

Your Nexus api key is ONLY used by the installer to communicate with Nexus and nothing else. You can consult the source code here

A note on Premium Nexus user.

You need to be a Nexus Premium user in order to have automatic downloads. The application will work without but you will have to manually click for each mods and your total bandwith will be limited to 3 MB/s.

If you subscribe to Nexus premium, you will maybe have to wait a few minutes for the Nexus API to synchronize. You can check your premium status in the bottom right corner of the installer.

Nolvus

You will also need to create an account on the Nolvus web site. If you don't have your Nolvus account yet, click here to create it.

Fill the registration form, when done you will receive a confirmation message.

Optional requirement

The following requirements are only needed if the application does not start

.net 5.0 SDK available here

Select the latest Windows x64 SDK version.

Visual C++ Redistributable available here

Select Visual Studio 2015, 2017, 2019, and 2022 then the x64 version.

You are now ready to install the Nolvus Dashboard application.
