Simple Hunting Overhaul

A simple hunting overhaul that puts gameplay first, while still remaining immersive, quick and responsive.

How it works?

  • Looting the pelt of an animal (via the normal looting system) updates the animal visuals, does a super quick fade-to-black effect and plays a skinning sound in the background. This is similar to Headhunter's "Loot the head" system. All very quick, intuitive and unobtrusive.
  • Looting the pelt also advances time. Depending on your experience in skinning animals, it will take you from a few minutes to a maximum of 2 hours. This happens automatically and a message lets you know how much time has passed.
  • You can also pick up the carcass of an animal. To do this, you simply hold SHIFT and the animal activation will switch from "Loot Wolf" to "Pick Up Carcass". This is similar to Read or Take's approach, so you should be familiar with it.

You can tailor some aspects of the mod in its MCM menu

Immersive Hunting

Immersive Hunting is a complement of Simple Hunting Overhaul and add special animations as well as providing more interactions when skinning animal, also allows you to carry whole carcass to sell.

This mod is disabled by default, to enable it you need to go to its MCM menu

Simple Fishing Overhaul

This mod provides the following features

  • Fish in third person or in first person or mix it.
  • You can now move the camera around while in first person.
  • Around 200 new lines of dialogue.
  • NPCs will sometimes react to your fishing rod, if you have it equipped.
  • Some NPCs and followers will react to your fishing. Followers might encourage you or tell you how tired they are of your fishing. Random people might ask how the fishing is going and if you caught anything good.
